Last time I made a photocopy with the scanner lid open the background was black.
You need to be quite far from the cieling, I think that could work.
You always come out with shockers steve - when will we get pictures of all your purchases together? You must be making quite the stack.

Quote: The second one look like a doctored fake I don't know in hand look ok,like a coin with big details.I don't think that he can sell me fake because he have only coins that he found with metal detector.Actually if it is fake I could go next time when I am on my village and to ask him to give me back the money, but I have to be sure so I know one coin dealer who could say is it real or not.I will go tomorrow.Hope its real

I think the spotting of fakes is inportant, but I have noticed on other forums with commercial interest such coins become the victim of a witch hunt. On the flip there would be coins that IMHO appear 100% authentic and is condemened as a fake by a "top dog" and 3-4 other guys will just agree for the sake of agreeing, leaving a sour taste in my mouth, about true authetications.

Ancientnoob, I also feel that sometimes coins are too easily condemned. I hate seeing someone say that a coin is fake without being able to verbalize his feeling. I think it's disrespectful to say the least

Sorry gang, but back to my actual coin ... Ummm, you guys do realize that this coin is more than a silly joke-coin, right? ... this coin is actually my "3rd" oldest coin (525-463 B.C.) => yup, this archaic coin has definitely now moved-up into the prestigeous "top-ten" of the stevxe6 coin collection!! Hmmmm? ... maybe I'll have to start that thread, ASAP, eh? *whateva* ... I'm a bit bored/drunk right now ...
