I wasn't trying to pick nits, CP, just saying that any generation has many differences as well as similarities among its members.
I fully agree that older folks who have "been there and done that" are a great source of living wisdom. I think often about my Gram. She was an absolutely wonderful woman whom I adored. She was not well educated but she was incredibly wise in the ways of the world. I could (and often did) listen to her talk about "the old days" all day long... and be much the richer for it.
