Good topic.

Had a meeting with my banker today and while I was waiting,I decided to pick up some small dollar rolls for the first time. I went to the teller and told her I wanted 5 rolls of Sacs, 5 rolls of Presidential, and 5 rolls of SBA's.She went back and came out with 10 rolls of sacs, that was all she had for small dollar rolls,so I bought them. After I was done with business, my banker and I were shooting the bull, and he told me a guy comes in every Mon, Wed & Fri to pick up rolls small dollars. I thought great, I got searched rolls.

Here is the breakdown of what found.

162-2000 P & D SACS from Avg. Cir. to About uncirculated.
Some might have been BU if not for the fingerprints

2-Native dollars 2008-D &2010

5-1979 SBA's
(One possible 1979-S type 1, need to look under magnification)

1 1999 SBA

Presidential dollars
16 Washinton
5 J Adams
2 J. Q. Adams
1 Van Buren
9 Jefferson
2 W. H. Harrison
6 Madison
1 Tyler
11 Monroe
2 Polk
2 Buchanan
5 Lincoln
4 A Johnson
8 Grant
3 Hayes
3 Garfield
Condition about the same as the Sacs...stupid fingerprints.

Not a bad haul for thinking I bought only SACS..

But, I am gonna have to make a drive to the big city and hit banks up there if I want to find different years of the SACS. Too bad there is only 2 banks in this town, I am going to assume he is also searching rolls from the other bank.. Must be looking for that million dollar error.

Nice find Sagegirl. Keep an eye out for the wide rim 1979 SBA's. The 1 is right up against the rim, can't miss it.

I have a bag of about 55 1979 SBA's I need to go thru, once my new magnifying lamp gets here, I'll start looking for things my 60 year old bad eyes can't see. Current old magnifying lamp is only 1.75X, I am looking at trying to find a 5X or 7X lamp to order up today. Glass Lens is a must, I hate plastic lenses, and a metal frame, plastic sucks.

Well after hours of looking for magnifying lamps, I couldn't find what I wanted, they were advertised as 5X or 10X magnification, but after reading description and reviews realized they were not what I wanted. Started looking at other options, with this new search I wanted something hands free. Finally decided on a digital Microscope w/5" screen and ability to take screen shots and save to a 32 gig macro SD card just so I can share pictures with you guys. LOL . Was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but reviews of lesser expensive microscopes of the same style, weren't all that great and actually scared me off. This one will give me the magnification I want and then some, it comes with a software and USB cord, but reviews of the software aren't very good, can also be hooked up to a TV with HDMI.
