Very nice additions HONDO ... the surfaces on your 1951 BTW are not clear in the photos ... trust your growing judgment that perhaps the coin was cleaned at some point.

Thanks for the update.

If I may agree ... Go Nats!

That is a great set you are building! My favorite is the stone mountain coin.

Lovely original example HONDO ... likely F15 or so ... tremendous addition to your growing set.

Thrilled to watch your continued additions as the circulated set progresses.

Heres the newest addition to my set... Must be todays theme, right David?

A circulated, probably in the Good range, 2x2 Alabama.

Has a few rim hits, but nothing major.

Happy to have it!

Not everyday that the CCF can view both Alabama varieties in well circulated state.

Lovely coin HONDO ... surfaces appear 'bright' on yours as well - I'm thinking likely ex-pocket pieces.

Concur with your grade opinion. Thanks for sharing the photo.

Congrats on your latest addition!

The uneven wear along the coin's rim seems to suggest that it might have originally been higher on some areas of the coin (e.g., near "OF AMERICA" vs. "UNITED" on the obverse OR maybe the relief of the portraits varied to the extent that they "protected" one area of the coin's rim more than another?

These circulated examples always make me think about the coin's original relief characteristics.

Another great addition to share.

This coin arrived last night in an old ANACS holder. It now lives right next to the new 2x2 Alabama in my Dansco.

Looks like a pocket piece with zero reeding left on the edges. Thanks Bob for the help with that!

Congrats on your latest!

The look of the coin makes me think it depicts the ghosts of Washington and Lafayette!

Tremendous addition HONDO - pleased to view it here on the CCF.

I'm thinking this Lafayette could compete for PO01 ... alas I've thought the same for many of my circulated commemorative.

Your enthusiasm for pursuing the classic silver commemorative set in circulated state is noteworthy and of commendation ...

As I reply to your posts ... the CCF forum mechanics draw my eye to your initial post where you 'stared over' in this new thread 'quest'.

Thanks to the continued help from nickelsearcher and not mint to be, I have stayed pretty enthusiastic about these awesome coins.

Your kind acknowledgement in Dec 2012 was appreciated by me ... and your enthusiasm has continued unabated.

I suggest that you have now grown into a fully formed collector of the circulated classic silver series ... Proud of your growth ... willing of course to do whatever I can to help.

This Layette is indeed a lovely addition to your growing circulated set.

Stay True to the Quest.

I picked up a really cool addition to my set today. Purchased from a friend and fellow forum member.

Really happy with the look of this original, VF35ish Wisconsin Half.

This is a tough tough coin in circulated condition... That combined with the quality and circulation cameo look, I couldnt ask for a better coin to fill that hole in my album.

Other thoughts on grade would be appreciated.

While my 6 yr old daughter and I were looking at the coins and taking pics, she demanded a selfie lol
