RES do you find many coins at boot sales etc? I'm in the uk, new to coins. Used to go to boot sales for old records all the time, but never remembered seeing coins and am trying to get started with old pennies, etc.

I hardly ever see them at carboots, but when you see them, they're good.

Greg whereare you located? If you've close them in March when they start back up I'll introduce you to my coin guy. He had a bit of everything. Us pennies are a bit harder tofind. You'll see them every once in awhile. They are usually just sitting in a junk pile. Actually that's where I've found most of the coin including silver, in a dish sitting to the side.

Ben, I second that. Any US coin that you find over here will usually be a nicer grade because they didn't circulate over her. The boot sales closer to an old US base is your best bet for coins and quality.

Another thing that I've learned is that if someone does set up a coin booth. Ask what other coins they have. The really nice stuff is usually still in the car behind them to prevent theft.

There have got to be a few large boot sales up that way. I'm an hour from there.
