At 7:17 a.m. today I received an email from the RCM with the subject line:

Advance Notice: Our newest coins are here!

A little late to the party!
Rest in Peace

I've got about 3 emails and a phone call from my mint rep. I think he likes me (or my money!
One of the emails he offered to hold one of the 1 oz platinum coins for me - at $3000 a pop... I don't think so.

@ Dcadon,
You must have been spending some serious cash with the Mint for them to call you. Is this normal practice with some MC members, or just the "elite" MC members?
Rest in Peace

I wouldn't call it serious cash, but I did complain about 5 years ago when I missed out on something - I had waited till I got the flyer in the mail, and called that same day - to find that the item I wanted was sold out. He called me back about 3 days later to say I could make the purchase, as somebody had cancelled theirs.
The 'rep' told me that he makes sure to let his good clients know when there are items that they have shown interest in, in the past. But my totals (through him) didn't indicate many sales.... I then referred him to my 'online orders' and he changed his mind. Since then, he's always given me a heads up on the items that he knows I buy annually.

This is why I've been very happy with the service I get from the RCM and especially my representative.

I think they just sent me an email one day, they gave me a phone number for a direct link to the rep.

Have been MC for more than a decade. I had to request a rep last year. He called me once to introduce himself and I had a few e-mails on new releases (which I got after I had already ordered on-line) but lately, I've gotten nothing from him.

The latest release e-mail arrived this morning from a generic account.

But to be fair, I order via the website simply because that is the first place I see the coins and can order (especially when they did releases at midnight). If I waited until the Impressions catalogue arrived or the RCM notified me of new release via e-mail, I'd risk missing new coins.

Not that I wants or need a rep. I don't buy that much. I am just curious to know if the rep try to push the product? I prefer to takes my own time to decide if I want to buy something rather than having another person on the phone telling me the new releases and ask if I want to order soemthing Now. But it would be nice to have a rep and chase after them when the order f up
