I figured this is a good time to bump this up.
We have gold, silver and platinum looking very ugly in the short term. However, in case you missed it, Palladium has the prettiest chart out there, even after the selling from today.
It remains to be seen if Palladium gets dragged down by the PM metal complex or it could very well ignore the other PMs and do its own thing. Remember, correlations come and go and just because the other PMs are down does not mean that Palladium follows them.
Just something to keep on your radar, Palladium.
I want to mention also, again, a great play on this metal is the publicly traded miner SWC.

...and while I was out, Palladium made/makes 52 highs, yearly highs. Uptrend.
which is also a perfect example of a very sloppy, ugly uptrend. how many times since this thread was started as it broke out of a range, push higher, fell apart, broken down, made another range break out higher, yearly highs. etc.
which is why you must pay attention to price, even with its wild swings, it is outperforming gold and silver, up 33% year to date.

interesting, not a peep from the members here. Palladium close to 20% for the year and no one, I mean no one, is jumping up and down. Even sentiment among traders is muted lol
excellent, yearly highs and going higher and MUTED sentiment from traders and the general public,,, means higher from here.

Just a reminder here, for the dip buyers, this is good area to buy the dip, if you are of that mentality. The metal is in an uptrend and doing quite well for the year...
dont say no one ever mentioned to you to buy palladium lol

please tell me someone bought Palladium the other day LOL, for the US folk, you can also buy access to Palladium via the PALL ETF.
in anycase, if you are ignoring Palladium, well hey, thats your decision but its in a nice uptrend, doing much better than gold and silver.

I love the absolute silence here. apathetic sentiment, combined with a strong uptrend in price (price is always FIRST before sentiment), an asset at yearly highs, is a 1-2 combo for much higher prices. Mind you I am observing that not only here but also among traders, its not like everyone is saying "yay Palladium is high" lol very quiet response from fellow traders as well...
see you suckers at even more all time highs from here :D

and while you people are confused about gold and silver, you could have bought palladium when I told you too, here it is again, pushing for yearly highs,
oh well, can lead a horse but ..... lol
as I have said, there are always different places to make money in the market, dont waste your time with assets that confuse you or if you have a difficult time understanding trends and price action what is going on.

Fresh 52 highs for Palladium today.
A gap up today, which usually is a good place to sell. Expect some sort of sell off and retracement, as has been the case here. Palladium is another wild one. However, the structure here has been buying the dips, and we can identify some of them via various forms, including trend lines.
Now, LONGER TERM people- expect deep vicious pull backs in this uptrend. We have an uptrend, as verified by fresh yearly highs today. I would not be surprised next week prices start to pull back, just as they have been for months now. Nothing wrong in that. One has to understand when a pull back is normal and isn't.
Glad Mac's in here, just get ready for the pull backs!

I'd love to buy some physical Pd, but the premiums are high, it's hard to find, and it's taxable here, as mentioned. I also remember it dipping sub-$200 circa 2008, so I'm hoping for another buy opportunity at some point. You can play paper metal, but that may not sit well with some, and I get that.
I'm mostly buying tax-free Pt while it's in a price inversion with gold!

The best way to buy here would be via the Futures market, your eyes would pop out lol
However, since thats not practical for the forum members here, ETFs and ETNs are your best choice. That said, I have seen some palladium coins, some dealer had 2015 maple leafs that were palladium.
Ahh, gotta love trends, confused and inexperienced people laugh at them but they really do work. Alas, those people who just don't get trends I guess will remain lost, forever!
As far as Platinum, I wouldnt waste my time with it personally. Looks weak and ready to drop even lower in time unless it can get it in gear, for the time being just in a no mans land.
