Prizes went out in the mail today. Thanks to everyone for participating. I can't wait to do my next contest. I probably took as long to think it up as it took Topher to solve it. The whole 7/7/77 story is a joke I heard years ago and the 7 coin $77.77 is something I dreamed up. The hard part was narrowing down the possible mints and avoiding the $50, $20, $4, $3, $.50, $.25, $.02 combination. The 1977-D nickel I included in the story helped with both aspects. I was also stuck on how to single out the Charlotte and Dahlonega coins between the $2.5 and $5 gold coins and then on Sunday afternoon Jeff Gordon wins his 77th race. Viola!

Prizes arrived this morning. Thanks, tmor. The best part is, now I have examples of large and small date 82's so I can compare with all the other ones I've saved up.
