AND the greatest thing about a coin show is you get to see exactly what your buying. No lost in mail, no postage, no handling, no wrong coins sent, etc.

And the good deals. And just being able to see a ton of stuff you probably never knew you wanted and will never be able to afford. Looking forward to my Vegas trip now...totally planned it around a coin show being held in our hotel. The girlfriend does not know yet.  |

Being forthright and up-front with HoneyBunny is (almost) never a bad idea and is (almost) always a better idea and less costly than trying to play it cutesy.
However -- play it your own way and best of luck...

Actually she won't be too upset. She likes the hotel's slots and doesn't like coin shows so she won't want to go to it anyway. I have a whole day planned around going to some antique malls for her (that's her hobby) so I'm not forgetting what she likes. :)

Well, update on the coin show at the hotel. She just called me this morning and said "Did you know they're having a coin show starting the Friday we're in Vegas?" When I said yes, she said she would hit a poker room if I was going to the show. Guess the cat's out of the bag.
