Hello, my name is Andrew, I'm from Russia.
I want to show you a treasure trove that we found last summer.

Coins from 1760 to 1805.
2 full pot, 1,200 coins.

Look better in HD.

Great find Andrew.
Please post pics of them cleaned up, and what they are. I'm sure most of us are not familiar with Russian coins, I for one.

I would love to find something like that. So how did you find something like that? Metal detector? Luck?

You have to catalog what you have vay - you might have something quite valuable there. The 1764 CM 5 kopek is already a good example - even in that condition, it should be worth more than 50 dollars EASILY.

Never know if you can find a 1787 or 1788 TM 5 kopek!

Nice hoard, looks like all 5 Kopecks? Those two 1802 pieces look like they had very little circulation when they were buried. What is the latest dated coin?

If you aren't experienced treasure hunters or metal detector enthusiasts (if you ARE you will already know this) -
BEFORE you do anything to clean them, RESEARCH proper cleaning methods (for example, metal detecting forums often have good tips on how to clean ground finds properly). Especially with copper, you will want to preserve as much of the original patina as possible... Do NOT clean or polish them bright!
