Thanks Gary for running the contest. Even after I thought I had the wrong answer, I kept trying other botanical parts of the wheat stalk. I can't help entering contests, it's a bit of a compulsion I have.

I had to look up VDB to find out what it stood for, now I know & I've also learnt something today. Unfortunatly, just like Topher I'll probably not remember it either.

Oh dear! Gary, I tried to send you my address just before I posted my reply to topic. I then got a message telling me I'd left all sorts of info out of the eMail & to go backto complete it. When I did this, it posted my reply to topic a second time, then the same pop up box re-appeared, so I still don't know if my eMail to you succeeded or not. I closed the pop up box because I figured I'd just end up posting the same message over & over & over, just like Ground Hog Day.

Please let me know if you got my eMail with my address. Thanks, Nancy

Thanks folks for all the good wishes. I'll be running a contest in about 5 or 6 weeks. It'll probably just be a 'guess the number' type of quiz.

I think nancyc might have it.

My answer would be "AWNS".

But she has beat me to it.

Nancyc,

It's funny that you're from Australia and mention Ground Hog Day. That was filmed in Woodstock, IL where I live. I never met him but I remember seeing Bill Murray. It was filmed mostly on the square in Woodstock and in homes and business within a few blocks of the square. Just another good memory for me. Like coins, it's amazing how far things travel.
