As I quoted in the other thread, I saw the coin box with the stamp in my Postal office so you can buy it right now. I looks nice but not amazing. I don't like the yellow color, maybe has some meaning in the Chinese culture/

Yellow is the color of Chinese Royalty. Emperors wear yellow.

Excellent. Thanks for the photos. Note the mintage of 8888 leaving just 6k for the RCM. That's similar with the distribution of the Titanic 50 cent (10k CP and 5k RCM) and the Coronation .25 (10k CP and 5k RCM). Of course the Titanic was a bit different because only 5k were available at $35 where as the other 10k were in a $150 set. Overall, I think the CP presentation is worth the $4.44 (including HST) extra.

I wonder if the CP product got auspicious numbers, or were the COAs just randomly distributed

Good point. I believe the Titanic 50 cent were 1-10,000 in the CP set and 10,001 to 15,000 from the RCM. BTW, how cool is set #8888 from CP going to be? Last of that issue and the obvious Chinese numerology. (full disclosure, I put no stock in COA #s but would he happy to get the premium that set would provide)

Very sweet and nice presentation, thank you.
This is the situation, when actually the coin became part of the package.

FWIW, my coin from the RCM just arrived. COA is 14101. Yeah - couldn't be much less lucky unless it was 14014 lol. Maybe I'll do better with the CP one when it comes. One other note, the RCM box is nice (way better than a regular maroon clamshell) but the coin doesn't stand up in the box. They have the little indent (which helps with removing the coin from the box) but if it were just a little deeper, the coin would present much better. The coin is very nice - great detail.

How do you find out exactly how many coins are left? I don't see that on the RCM website anywhere.

I think it's when you are on the checkout page, just add say 700 and cl ick update. Go with a lower number until it no longer says insufficient. You should get the actual number available.
