Maybe they thought a 1 oz bronze coin would take away buyers from the 1 oz silver. If the dimensions are accurate, it is only 2.25 mm less in diameter than the silver one.

It was a typo on the website...posted this on the other thread but my dealer sheet had no mention of the "1 oz" part, and I received that weeks before the MC email/on RCM website...Definitely no conspiracy there to increase sales for the 1oz silver as someone is thinking haha

PS: 100th post, yay!

I think it was an honest mistake.

What I meant was they probably wouldn't have made an equal size and weight coin out of bronze in the first place that was less than half the price of the silver one - most buyers would likely gravitate toward the bronze coin because of the lower price and unique composition.

Because of the size/weight difference there may be more people buy the silver one because they like a one ounce coin.

Got a question about the rules for one of the senior members on the forum....Don't know where else to put it :P

One of the rules says:
Drive-By Links: Promotion by new members of other sites. These type links are sometimes very obvious, sometimes they are not. We are not a free advertising site, so if you are here to advertise please click here. Posting links to sites you own is not allowed until you reach 50 quality posts. Please do not be offended if you have a link removed. It's not a reflection on the quality of the site and it's not personal.

Would this mean it is ok to have a link to my website in say my signature since I have >50 posts?

I have a link to my ebay store so I see no reason you cannot put your website in there also

I find myself collecting more older items from the RCM then the new ones. Maybe the mint should buy out all old items and resale them on their website. Get those reps to make more commission ;)

Just curious: if the limit of the allegory coin is one per household, how do sellers know they will be getting 10 of them in advance?

My guess is that if this seller were to pre-sell all 10 for $100.00 each, he would be able to easily source 9 others either through friends, other family or other resellers and even if he had to pay a normal markup to get them, he would still be doing great!

Ok, thanks guys. I didn't realize there is no limit on this coin and that CP might carry it...

..then there is the tax plus shipping to consider... could run as high as $40-45 for each of these; pretty pricey for a brass... ahem, bronze coin.

Was thinking of getting 2 or 3, but I think I'll stick to just one...

Welcome back, BiBo!

One important notice for new release:
probably you safe since:

no really "outstanding hot" coins issued
most of the interesting coins have limit 1 per customer, so tomorrow (?) you will see all of them.

Probably, in the Public release need to be hurry with Dyno coin and Silver Allegory - those looks nice (IMO).
May be the niobium will be popular, although small and overpriced.

Did you get "$100 for $100" the Bisons?
