No, but that's who I thought it was--then I clicked through for the attribution. Not my coin; seen on one of the v-tail sites I often visit when searching for GTE and GTG matches.

Not Siva. It's Greek. This one will be hard for many reasons-- unusual coin, poor condition of the specimen, etc.
I'll work up some other clues tomorrow.

Not Athena, but that's always a reasonable guess for unidentified Greek female deities. How you correctly guessed this deity was female, however, I don't know Some clues: 1. Etymology of the goddess's name-- probably translates to [something] Mother. The [something] is debatable and there are several possibilities. 2. Her daughter was abducted to the underworld by Hades.

Yes, it's Demeter! I hadn't seen this coin or depiction before. From Ancient Imports, a webstore I enjoy browsing (and have bought a few things from there, likely to buy more; the owner Marc is very helpful) Quote: Attribution: BMC 62 Date: 210-200 BC Obverse: Facing bust of Demeter wearing wreath of radiate leaves Reverse: River god seated right, holding cornucopiae in left arm, branch in right hand; bird right. Size: 22.28 mm Weight: 9.8 grams Rarity: 7 Description: A nice and quite rare bronze
