I have used photograde and to me and I think what was messing with me up was that I was just way over thinking. I ended up going back the the basics (ie Red Book) and looking at their grading notes and now I think I got it.
Photograde was messing me up. For me, I need to grade from low to high using the basic (G,VG,F,VF,XF,AU,MS). Then go to the "inbetween" grades.
That's a great find, due to the grade. The best I've gotten is a 1904 Indian that's in the worst condition imaginable. So, a 1918 in VF35 is a lot better.
