I know how it feels, it's like this when I buy in China.

The poor dealer is going to get nailed with a $100 fee until issue is resolved. Even then, the buyer has to agree to cancel the order for the seller to get the cash back. Depending on how the agreement is settled, the dealer could be short $100 if the buyer really wants to be a jerk about it.

Silveroid, I didn't see anything about this on RFD. Please clarify what you mean. Thanks!

I am sorry.
On the page 2078, instead of "An amazing price paid for this coin set!"
I read:
An amazing price I paid for this coin set!

Sorry for misleading. Caused by rush, lack of concentration and non-understanding, why $1000+ is amazing, and what is special in this set.
Rest in Peace

It's a good demonstration for any 'newby' coin collectors and ebay - NEVER bid beyond what you think it's worth. Another will come along eventually.

If these two were thinking the same thing - 'oh, the other guy will just bid it's worth, and I'll get it for 10 bucks more' and all of a sudden, you're bidding against somebody just like yourself. In a real world auction - the winner would have to pay! It'll be interesting to see if this goes through as final sale - or is relisted.

Doesn't the dealer have the power to cancel the nonsense bids and sell it to last reasonable bidder?

I think that should be a rule. Its too easy to shill at the end to eliminate anything about to sell at a bargain.
