marty, you're right.
The pic is with the maroon clamshell though. I hope the pic is wrong and the description is correct.

I bet they mixed up the description with the gold fractional set. That pic is with a maple case.

If you want a Piedfort coin at issue price, your best chance is ordering direct through a P.O. today.

And why not NOW at RCM web page?

Or try another PO.

My PO lady even showed me the order screen where I could see that there were still 800 + left.

Maybe ask them to go on their Direct Ship order screen. Sounds like they didn't even try to pull it up on their system.

@Silveroid

I have to correct my post from page 9. The effigy on the piedfort is the current profile.

But the big 5oz is the old effigy.

So now that better images are up of the Piedfort coin, especially the side shot to show the high relief, what's your thoughts?

I will say, I'm totally impressed with the pics and think this is going to look awesome. IMO, far superior design to the last Piedfort Maple.

Just checked with PO. Still 750 available. So no rush yet. Only 50 sold since this morning.
I think they are shipping the coin on October 8th. The Philatelic center hasn't heard about the coin yet and are having problems taking CC #'s because they're system is down.

FYI folks!

BTW, anyone know the mintage of these?
