Quote: I was a bit surprised by the final price on the Round 6 coin ...perhaps rooneydog can describe the reason for the cost?
Many (most) of us were obviously confused by this example. A little background would help to clarify and support the education process.
I posted this coin on the UK coin forum when I bought it and did state it was a moment of madness It's an unlisted double error 1/2 penny GVLIELMS (missing 2nd V) and inverted V's for A's. As Peter1234 stated about Dr Basil Nicholson who had a major collection Quote: Trouble is ALL pre 1701 copper was without quality control there could be thousands of varieties. Dr Nifferent. dicholson attempted but never completed the task. I'm sure I will fail to complete the task but will keep trying.
