A common Upper Canada 1857 penny, but I love the way just a little bit of luster is hanging on with this one.

Billfrak, can you illuminate me on the overstrike token? What's going on and what kind of value does it hold? I've been sorting through a collection of tokens in various conditions from UNC to F. Thanks much.

The farthing token is struck over a Samuel Guppy token of Bristol. It was designed by Thomas Halliday.
It was imported to Halifax by a merchant named Haliburton. Depending on the die axis I would value
this token between $150 to $200 maybe more as they usually are very popular and sell above trends.
The Molson token ( guess where it comes from mmmm) depends on thickness and edging.( $500 plus)
