It's the 1911 "Godless" obverse. The "Dei Gra" is ommitted by mistake and added in 1912.

53 & 54 nickels were chrome plated steel
because Nickel was needed for use in the Korean War.

aint that a no shoulder fold and my guess would be 53 and 54

wouldn't the NSF and SF be considered varieties and not a general "Obverse" design?

1953 all denominations 1954 small cent hi relief PLand 1955 hi relief cent circulation strike mule also known as no shoulder fold. The term no shoulder fold is a misnomer and more correctly called hi relief.

pacificcoin nailed it. as far as the high and low relief.....true dat, lol the SF and NSF thing bugs me as well and I try to slip in the high and low relief thing when I can.
