Wow! But, the design is a ryal, not a noble. Is that just the traditional name for this Flemish coin? Or is it a Flemish "rose noble," the other name for a ryal? Or is it a noble-sized coin, but they liked the design of the ryal better (I guess they liked Yorkist symbols!)? Any guesses on the monarch of the coin in the pic I posted?

SWEDEN 2 kronor 1938, the companion issue to the Delaware Tercentenary half dollar: The boat is the Kalmar Nyckel. There actually was an earlier thread similar to this, but it faded into the backlog. EDIT: found it: https://goccf.com/t/80301

In stamp collecting this is called a "topical collection." Here, the topic is "ships, boats and other water craft.

FIJI 1942 SHILLING (minted in San Francisco) ITALY 1958 500 LIRE Methinks there might just be more ship/boat coins floating about the CoinWorld seas than any of us ever imagined. These two are must-haves in a 'see-worthy' ship display.

Philadelphian, I still owe you an answer: the coin is listed/described in the literature as a Gorinchem Rose Noble, imitative issue of a Rose Noble of Edward IV of England. Spink 1952. The weight is 7,43 g so it is a full noble.

This coin depicts a roman galley. It is an as of emperor Hadrian, minted at Rome between AD 117-138. It commemorates one of the emperor's many travels to visit his far-flung possessions throughout the empire.
