I better stick to my day job. That is still a sharp N-10!

They were extremely conservative on that coin. Wow!

Please point out the "wear" on this coin, as I can not find it...

I think there is a light rub on the high points, but it's hard to see from the pictures.

It's a great looking coin! It still has lots of remaining luster on the reverse especially (Based on the Slab pictures).

I still think it's a technical MS coin and might grade as such if it were ever resubmitted to PCGS, I think NGC is the toughest on copper coins so AU55 isn't a big surprise from them.

This coin does not look like an AU coin to me. I would bet some serious cash on an MS grade if you resubmit for a re-grade.
Rest in Peace

Thanks all. Well, I am done upgrading my early 7070 cents for a while. The next "weak link" would be the draped bust large cent, which was an ANACS XF-40 with some strike weakness. A suitable upgrade would run deep into 4 figure territory, so I will hold off for a while, unless an irresistible deal comes.

what a nice looking set! I'm envious of the early copper on that board!

I suppose if I wasn't working on my 7070, I could have left it in the slab and tried sending it to CAC. Maybe a gold bean? :-P
