I bought similar Crosby medallions for the kids but they had the NHL logo on the back. Yours seems to be a Canadian coin given the image of the Queen showing through - gives Sid some odd neckwear . Why would it be blank on the other side?

I've seen the same image printed on the US Pennsylvania quarter too. They can be had in the $5-10 range and are basically novelties. I'd be very sceptical of any claimed limited mintages.

@CC-Ottawa, it seems its a "plain" Silver Maple Leaf, I guess plain used as "regular" here so the other side would be a the bullion Maple Leaf design.

yingyang.... wow it's impressive! Congratulations!! People don't realize how much money can be spent on this smoking "hobby". Not sure where you live, but here in Quebec, one pack is near 8$ I think. 8$ x 2 person x 365 days a year, it's near 6000$/year..... ouch!

@yingyang
I just took a look at your ebay auction. I would recommend you to put a picture of the coin itself on first image in your listings. Sure the #COA is important so maybe the image of the coin with a circle at one bottom corner with the Mintage/Tirage, 0005/5000 zoomed in?

Just my Two Cents, I think it would help the sale.

First off, congrats two both of you for quitting smoking, that in itself is really impressive!
Second, I think it is really cool that both you and your wife are into the same (or at least one of the same) thing, in this case coins.
Third, thank you for taking the time to take all of the pictures and show us your coins. I'm only ever in this Canadian NCLT section, but I love nclt coins from around the world and some of yours I have never seen before, so that was really cool.

Whoa! yingyang, and the hits just keep on coming...

I can't believe what a fabulous collection you and your wife have.

But don't you wish you had listened to your doctor's advice?
