Quote:
Your coin is a 1993 CAM
Despite the fuzzy pics, those markers I can make out all suggest a normal issue 1993 cent. I think the diagnostic pictures I posted are clear enough.

Judging by the third picture in the OP and the reference pictures provided by DVCollector, I'm 90% sure this coin has the Close AM.
And I say it entirely unaware of the relative rarity.

It's about lighting and background. I took these with my phone.

Wow your pics look good, your right about it probably being a regular 1993 but I was just so surprised looking at the space between the A M thats why all of your diagnostics are important. Thank forum.

Most definately better photos needed. Try to use your cell phone through your loop and see if that will work. Mine works well through my microscope. If the pics are blurry, not helping any.

To tell you the truth, I didn't even know there was a CAM and WAM in that year. The only one's I know of are the '98 , '99 , '00 and the 92 CAM.

I know I'm new and all. Where can I find out MORE things like this?

p.s. this is me being NEW not a jest.

"Where can I find out MORE things like this?"

Right on here :)

You already know the basics on the Wams/Cams
Also look for the 98 and 99 proof coins for the Cam.
No documented find on any 1993 or later date lincoln WAM has been found. Does not hurt to look though. You never know.

This is CAM, I can tell that just by looking at the initials in picture 3 of the OP

Edit: Didn't notice the discussion had ended on a second page XD

I don't think anyone is disputing it is a CAM. 1993's are supposed to be CAMS

It is a normal cent for that year. Even the proof cents are close AMs. Sorry, but keep looking.

I think you'd probably get better photos if you would stop trying to hold the coin while you shot it - that means at least two hands are shaking. Set the coin down on some thing that isn't moving and then lean your hand holding the camera against something so that's not shaking either.

I'm sure you phone can handle it. Place your coin on a white sheet of paper with light source at a 40 degree angle facing you or to your side so that your camera or phone does not create a shadow. I took this with my iPhone 4. Not a 4S, not a 5, and not a 5S, but a 4.

Cruisinfusion.....that's a pretty good pic. Have you checked out the photography section ? What Darth does with a 4s is nothing short of amazing.
