To any and all interested and have a lil money saved up for a to good to be deal...... Well Here it is....SMH! Around 3000 Wheat Pennies, Including nearly ALL key Dates, And by nearly all I mean from my rough search before writing this, Coin Trackers Top Valuable Coins list says that in the Condition around only 14 coins I was able to locate before leaving was about 8000 in there value alone, including a 1917 S Buffalo that Happeneds to be in VF condition as well as VERY DOUBLED! And the doubling is in no way considered in there value of that coin and date. So yes this is very heart braking for me. Also included will be a varying amount of Buffalo Liberty Mercury Standing Liberty Indian Head Large Cent Flying Eagle to many types of dollar coins to mention including Morgan, PLUS Kennedy washington jefferson Roseavelt coins. Not to mention some Error US Paper money. The collections of these coins were collected by me over time and will after all this is over be on the hunt for them again. I'll be posting this on ebay tonight around 7pm and will run for 72 hours. I'm going to start the bid at 2000 and although TRUST ME I know how much money that is to spend, anyone who is a collector and has money set aside for such hobby would be heart broken to not have tried to own these coins. I only am putting this Aution up because my ex girlfriend ruined a family members car and tore there home apart. I am so sorry if posting this is a problem to anyone here but I have to make every opportunity happen in order to fix these problems ASAP. Thanks for reading and search un Errorcoins1 or i'll post it as DEAL OF A LIFETIME!

I'm truly sorry to hear about your sacrifice, this must be horrible to do. Is there no way you could sue her, and get the money to compensate the damage that way?

Doing that would be the logical thing, make her pay for it. To lose out on your collection not good at all.

I am sorry to say that because my godfather is nearing his last days from COPD and her mental illness that I simply wouldnt get anything fixed in time to help the healing from all of this. Thank you both for your ideas and kind words.

Oh mate my heart goes out to you and your family, hope you get things sorted in time. Pursue her for it still, try and get something for the damage she's caused. But I get why you're selling them, you're a good person for making this sacrifice it's very commendable.

I would document (photograph) everything for the record before you sell it. If you do decide to pursue legal action, you will need to produce these records after-the-fact.
Commendable it is but really just awful that it comes to this. The silver lining is that you can rebuild your collection, and if nothing else, you have pictures of all the coins you collected over the years, less tangible, but solid memories to keep. Good Luck!! And may a bidding war breakout on your behalf.

I am truly sorry to say, but nobody will buy that for 2.5 grand with the description, photos, and content.

That will absolutely not sell with that description and pictures. To me it looks like a pity party that is hoping someone will come along and bid on it because they feel sorry for you. Sorry to be harsh but that's what I get when I see it. If you truly do have financial troubles you need to deal with before your grandpa passes, I suggest you take clear pictures of each key date coin you have and list them in the description area. That is what will get you the most money out of this collection.

I've just looked at the auction, I think you need to amend it to gain the sale. Not to say someone might buy it anyway, but I'd remove the story about what has happened. And detail everything for sale key dates, quantities etc, it will be time consuming-but I feel it will get you the best results you need.
I'll be honest, when I see an explanation for a sale-I usually don't bid/buy. Re-do your photos aswell, because it's hard to make out what is exactly their. I know this may sound harsh/annoying what I'm saying, but I'm only saying it to try and help you ;).

First, your listing is nearly identical to many other listing from what I will call "scam artists." I'm not saying you are one of these people, but they always have blurry photos, a vague description of what is included and some sob story as to why you need the money. Why you need the money has no relevance to the posting or you selling the coins. You will never sell your collection with that listing and starting price. As a potential buyer, IMO, from the photos you posted, looks like you might have a few hundred dollars worth of coins, nothing special and most look modern. If you have key dates, Doubled dies or other varieties, list them separately and photograph them well. They will be much easier to sell and you will get much more. You are essentially asking somebody to gamble $2500 on the off chance you have something worth that and from what I see you don't. I don't want to come off as harsh, but this I believe is a reasonable view from any potential buyer's perspective.

I'm going to have to revise my prior post, after looking at your listing more closely, I see almost nothing of any real collector value. There is a Morgan dollar, a few IHCs and a large cent. The rest I see are modern coinage with none or little collector value. If you have key dates, they should be up front with good pictures. If you have errors/varieties, they need to be up front with good pictures. You sell the good and throw in the rest. It might be a good idea to take your collection to a coin dealer to get an estimate as to its value. I'm very skeptical of this whole thing, but do wish you the best of luck.

More thoughts -
Agree with the others above; you should leave the sad story out of it. Folks without feelings will bid low knowing your desperate circumstances. It does read like a scam.
Next, sell only what you need to sell to generate the money needed to buy whatever it is you need to buy (e.g. reliable transportation). Maybe all you have to sell is a few of the better coins to generate the dollars you need without sacrificing anything else.
Just think about it.

Sorry for your bad situation.
To get the most for your coins ... maybe you should auction them in smaller groups?

My views .... This thread should be posted in the 'auction marketing' forum and not here ... but given the number of honest replies I will not quibble about that detail. More importantly ... you have been given some honest and candid feedback regarding the present ebay auction ... all of which I agree with. Key points .... 1. Lose the sad story ... no potential buyer cares ... as tough as that may be for you. 2. Your ebay photographs will never sell the lot ... the blurry photos of piles of 'stuff' are an immediate turn-off. 3. Stop 'guessing' on what is in the lot and provide an accurate listing. Why write that there are 'about 2500 wheaties' ... that makes you appear as a scam artist. 4. Use some form of spell checker for your auction listing ... even if it is a dictionary. Truly ... the combination of rambling words and mis-spellings causes suspicion all by itself. 5. List all of the 'valuable' coins that you claim with clear photographs of each of them. Bottom line ... I feel for your situation and hope it all works out for you. As a random ebay purchaser however ... your present auction screams 'scam' and I run away after perhaps 3 seconds of viewing. At last check there was about 2 hours to go on your auction ... hopeful that you endorse some of our suggestions when/if you need to re-list. Best Wishes. David

That's truly unfortunate. Sorry to hear of anyone having to part with their collection, for any reason.
Please take everyone above's advice. That would be my take on it.
Best of luck to you! Hope this all works out.
