1932 5 Cents Far 2? - Coin Community Forum

It's a close call, but the near 2 on Coins and Canada has the line running through the top of the 2, and mine has some space. Any other opinions after this picture? dialog_gvf Pillar of the Community Canada 1581 Posts	Posted 04/14/2014 01:00 am I think your's is probably a near 2. The best way to check is to start a line at the tip on the right leaf, and touch the top of the 2 with the line. If the line cuts about 1/2 way down the 1, then you're a winner. This method stops the tendency of sneaking the line onto the tips. Here's it done to two of mine: Near 2: Far 2: Report this Post to the Staff

Zonad Pillar of the Community Canada 1472 Posts	Posted 04/14/2014 9:09 pm Put the coins side by side and if you have a far 2 coin you will see the distance from the 2 to the leaf is different from a reference coin. On a far coin the distance from the 2 to the leaf is almost double the distance from the 3 to the 2. On the near coin the distance from 3 to 2 looks to be equal the distance from 2 to leaf.
