1828 Half Cent - Looks to be around an F-12 so she will probably get upgraded at some point.

Thank you. Half Cents have really grown on me and someday I'll add the Coronet. That will be fun since they are a little more plentiful.

1856 "Coronet" Half Cent: She's a bit scratched up and obviously suffered an "improper cleaning" at some point, but I was able to get her at a good price and she has the perfect amount of detail for my 7070 album. This is going to be a recurring theme as I post my 7070 pictures, btw. The whole purpose of a type album is to highlight the different types of coins that have been made over the years, and to that end the most important thing (in my opinion, at least) is how much detail the coins have to show off those differences. Given a limited budget, I would rather spend the same money to get an "improperly cleaned" or otherwise "damaged" coin with a great amount of detail than a wholly original coin with less detail. And when I do decide to spend the extra money to get a wholly original coin with great detail, it usually ends up slabbed instead of in my 7070 album since I want to preserve the value as much as possible.
