Thanks everyone for your help! persistnt, wow $115 is great! I feel I need to join my local coin club too. Although I don't know if we have one in Ottawa. I collect coins but never thought collecting banknotes can be so much fun. Now I am gonna collect and study both for sure

Zeil, there is a coin show in Ottawa every second Sunday of the month at the RA Centre. It is small but the dealers are quite knowledgeable and will answer any question you may have. I have also bought and sold a few items over time at that show.

TY Legouge...I thought Ottawa would have a coin club....Is there a more similar one to Saskatoon's..Meaning more learning, and social, and members only as opposted to general public buying...Zeil a good thing about note collecting is that you can spend only a little time on it if your prefer...But spend a great deal of time, effort ,money as well if you want too...From Nov13 til now You only need 11 5.oo notes to have every prefix..That is less than 2 bills a month, Or say 15.oo bucks a month for hobby, that could reap rewards in time..just be sure to get UNC or better bills for those prefix's..

Frontier Series (Means Polymer or new) 20,50, 100, and new 10's Macklem- Carney for sign't. For the 5.oo,Carney for most bills becomes Stephen Poloz. So when the 10 is upgraded then will be new signatures for it...Or a collecter can try to find a Carney five (Only 350000 I think-its on another thread). So that is my delema I can't decide whether to collect 5, or the 10's...Train people for 10...Space lovers the 5...Traditional persons maybe the 20.oo because it is older.....Decisions...I love the Polymer- and Paper...
