I have this coin and I can't figure out what it is. Does anyone know what it is?
Post-Your-Coins-With-Center-Holes
It is similar to this Chinese 1 cash coin.

Here's a trio comprised of my latest finds of this type. The bottom coin is Egyptian.

There was one of these posted earlier, but I believe of different denomination. For the genre, this one is a bit interesting on account of its larger size (30.5mm in diameter). It dates to the period of the British Mandate, so I wonder if it might've been struck by The Royal Mint.

One more I ran across today that I hadn't seen before.

In doing a little research on this issue, I discovered that it was actually struck in Paris, and the mintage totaled a meager 3,000.

I don't believe I've seen this one in the topic yet. It's a 2004 Danish 2 Kroner that I picked up while visiting Germany/Austria in the summer of 2012. I've been meaning to post it for a while but just got around to taking a picture of it. I apologize for the image quality.

Post-Your-Coins-With-Center-Holes Post-Your-Coins-With-Center-Holes

The obverse shows the royal monogram 3 times around the central hole, alternating with crowns. The obverse is a design based on prehistoric drawings, kind of reminiscent of a Celtic pattern. I have read that the two hearts to the left and right of the central hole represent the Danish mint. The orientation of the coin is medal alignment.

This one's pretty large (33mm in diameter). It also has a proof finish, so I;m supposing it was never intended to circulate.

Turns out that the above Papua New Guinea 1 kina was in fact part of an 8 coin proof set struck by the Franklin Mint, with 7,721 being produced. It is legal tender.

Why only modern and some older Chinese coins with holes?

Here a mystery coin from the middle ages:

Post-Your-Coins-With-Center-Holes

Both sides are equal, I'll give everyone a chance to guess what it is before I add a description tomorrow

Postscript:

Close enough 'Bas_S_Warwick', a 'Lotus Flower' coin from the Khmer Empire produced in medieval times.
