My average would be more like a clip every 350 rolls of pennies. I've never found three in one day.

I imagine one in 50-cent nickel (post 1967) would be scarce and probably in the $300 range. You see more of that error type in the silver 50c coins, where I have seen at least 6 in the last three years. The really cool silver ones you can hold up to the light, and see the light through the incomplete clip. They also sell in the same price range...
