Not technically a circulation find. Yesterday as I walked into Walmart I saw two one cent coins on the ground inside of the subway restaurant. I picked them up and one turned out to be a 1991 philly minted one that I needed for my folder. So not only did I fill a hole I also completed a folder as it was the last one I needed. |

After I found the Westward Journey nickel yesterday I went through my change jar and came up with these. This is an interesting find in circulation.   I can't imagine what could have caused this much damage. I think it's too random to be intentional so it must have been accidental. Any ideas or guesses?

Occasionally I'll gather up a few dozen rolls of nickels, and still find a healthy number of pre-1970 examples.
