That's interesting.
In the reality the paint is totally flat, but our imagination constructs the 3-D.
Nothing surprising, cause this everywhere...I just tried to think about it.

I really like the illustrated artwork on the packaging Jackalope posted on page 7 of this thread. It's too bad that level of creativity didn't go into the coin design. Another boring flag. I appreciate it's patriotic nature, but Ho hum.

Mine arrived today.
It is a bullion coin.
My first impression was that it is a cheap sticker,
with a strange texture, not unlike that of the 25 c Bird series (think Barn Swallow texture).
I'm not trying to be harsh here, just being real.

Too bad, I was sort of looking forward to this,
not at all impressed with this coin.

On the bright side, you'll have the opportunity to spend 5 times as much in about a month for a proof 1oz that looks similar. :)

Actually just looked at the coin with a loupe and it has no milk spots.
I scanned through two layers of plastic and there was something in between.
Will take that out of the post above now.

Well atleast its worth more then bullion atm at least, 1/4 oz silver bullion is what like $5 or so , this 1/4 oz is worth $25 and always will be , er well until the banks decide not to take them at face value someday .

In terms of the finish, it is a linen bullion finish.
Not a proof coin.

Yes and the most expensive 1/4 ounce available.

Silver Gold Bull sells the 1/4 here in Canada.I actually have 3 or 4 tubes each of these and the 1/10 oz ones .I dislike "junk" silver because..well its junk..lol , well no but it is dirty /worn and not .999 silver. Just cant seem to get into the lesser junk silver.

There is no dollar denomination on these bullion 1/4 oz unlike NCLTs.

1/4 oz Walking Liberty Silver Round

In multiples of 20 these coins will be shipped in a plastic tube.

The above is correct, only speaking about coins with "Bullion finish".
There are some other 1/4oz silver coins that cost much more than the $25.
Examples:

1/4oz Silver + Niobium - priced $100+
1/4oz Silver + some stone (Morning Glory coin) - priced $60+
1/4 Silver Proof coin (2013 $3 Fishing) - priced ~40

Well, the "Fishing" won the COTY award....so probably it will cost more (new Gulo-Gulo maybe?)

I thought this series is supposed to be Matt proof? I like the linen look. I actually prefer it to all the other different finishes. So far I like the photos posted. I will reserve opinion until mine arrive. I do think I will not be disappointed. It's a FV of $25, if I really don't like it I can resell it or take it to my bank. I'm not worrying - it's not a huge investment. I'm not spending $45 for same size coin with FV of $3. The Wait for Me Daddy Coin.

My $25 for $25 coin arrived today to me in England along with the Snown $20 fot $20.

I rather like both coins.

I canaceled my 3 subs , they had their change to ship it out but still waiting, I think I would rather spend the $75 on gold anyways.
