I should be heavily involved in the 70th edition as well... I'll know for sure in the new year.

JR 2000 be patient there are lots of neat things out there to find in these early cents. Seems every 1858 and 1859 you look at has some fun stuff going on. Some of the greatest rips you can find in the 1859 stuff are from junk boxes and dealers who just don't care(especially at US and foreign coin shows). Sure it is a bit harder with the 1858 coins, due to the high initial price.............but keep looking you will be rewarded............the fun is in the hunt!!

For me it's all about the hunt. I don't even keep many of the 1859 varieties I find and even some other coins have found nice home with forum members. I just love buying a coin for 10 bucks or less and finding a dp9 or repunched letters. It's a rush and then I search for the next coin.

Quote: @SPP I couldn't even carry a five gallon bucket full of nickel dollars!! I usually carry a couple home from Nuphilex and Coin Expo... they weigh about the same as my sample pails full of dirt and rocks. When I hit Toronto Jack, you won't miss me when looking to share a pint after the Legacy II auction, people sometimes mistake me for a bodyguard... Here I am in the "picture the poster" thread. https://goccf.com/t/4344&whichpage=53
