In US coins there are overdates from doubled dies, and there are repunched mintmarks, but with the possible exception of some Indian Head cents or V nickels there are no RPD after the 1907 - 09 period. (it was during this period when they were switching from punched dates to dates on the master hub.) If someone describes a later piece as being a RPD they are either being lazy or sloppy, or they don't know what they are talking about and their opinions should be taken with a grain of salt or at least viewed with skepticism.

The reason I try to be a stickler for using the correct terms is there are always people trying to learn and telling them the wrong terms just leads to confusion and the newbie later has to relearn what he was incorrectly told before. For those who answer questions and are teaching, using the wrong terms does the student a disservice.
