Yay! I have something relevant!


I picked this up last year in Seville.

It is a 1664 16 Maravedis made in the Seville mint and bearing the effigy of Felipe IV

I think it is really cool how they use the roman numerals IIII instead of IV on the obverse.

I'm guessing it won't be too long before this thread stalls again. (I don't have anything myself until 1661.)

I was hoping to start a fourth edition sometime this year, but I will not until the second catches the first, this one catches the second, or both. Maybe both. Would rather only have to watch two at a time, but three at the most (as we have now).

I have a few spatterings here and there until 1649 or so. After that, it's a drought for about 70 years.
