The gold coin was sold out mins after it was up on the Mint site. So most likely there was only a handful available at the time as I have heard that Reps reported to have said that 80% were sold in the few days leading up to the M/C release.

It was offered to people with MC reps a couple of days before it showed up on the Mint site, so those with first crack at them bought them. Plus I am sure a few were bought by dealers. 300 is real low mintage so they went fast.

Really nice looking coin, but definitely too pricey for this beginner.

24Feb2015: Am I the only one so far to buy the Singing Moon Mask (set of 3, "pre-sale")? I see a lot of "watchers" (many).

Do you refer to some listing on ebay?

The set hasn't been offered by RCM yet to the general public.
If you not MC member, just wait till the 3-rd / 4-th March and check RCM website or some dealer, let's say, Gatewest (according to your location).

Regarding the purchase of the set, as I see some people, who liked the design, from CCF and some from other forum have ordered it.

Added:
If it is ebay, majority of watchers interested to check the "potential" of the set on the secondary market.

That makes sense Silveroid.
I was scratching my head a little over the "watchers " comment.

SILVEROID: So far I have seen 7 listings on ebay: go to Canadian Coins on ebay and sort with "singing moon mask".

But just in case my hat is marinading in a special sauce.

@BeeBop:

Ya, I understand you.

Do not look on these pre-sales.
With this set created the situation, when it was offered to some MC members at least 3 weeks prior general release, with the pictures available.
The sellers try to estimate the best price and use the fact that the set not officially came out. And the buyers not in rush - so they just watching.

Wait for official release and keep an eye. Everything is possible with this item.
Btw, if I not wrong, this is the lowest planned mintage for 1oz silver coins that RCM offered (at least from 2011).

Silveroid: I just read in another forum, "Money Penney" earlier today: "Speaking of the 3 coin moon mask set, the RCM site says the Vancouver Mint has it in stock, so people who want to see it in person may do so" (In the "March 2015 Releases" forum)

The design of gold singing moon mask looks great, but it is in awaiting stock and likely sold out. It remind me the summer moon mask gold coin in 2009.
