So I'm fairly new.. I basically collect wheat pennies, Washington quarters, older dimes and nickels from the 1900's. I'll try to do some research before asking stupid questions. I don't really collect them but he got me stuck on looking at my coins before spending them. I've ended up with quite a few. Grew up in Los Alamos, NM (I glow in the dark), lived in Albuquerque for years before moving to Texas. Now I know the proper way to say and spell y'all. . Recently retired as bookkeeper / office manager. Yay! My Grandfather encouraged coin collecting when I was young. I inherited some coins from my Grandfather (he collected for all his grandchildren) so I have a small collection to learn more about and add to. I'm looking forward to being part of the community. My collecting started with Indian Head penny's and Buffalo nickels when I was younger but after my own kids, I started looking for the birthdays in serial numbers which got me back in to collecting. I'm an old guy & right now I'm looking for info about exonumia. Exonumia is my favorite right now, and I also have copper pennies, quarters, foreign coins & bills, and some silver.
