I am pretty educated in the field of autograph collecting, so if anyone has any questions etc about that, I am happy to return the favor. Email anytime. I am not a dealer though; just a collector (so I don't sell anything). I am well versed in Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, but I do know some other stuff as well. foundinrolls Pillar of the Community United States 3507 Posts	Posted 11/02/2007 12:25 am I am able to tell that the 1978 cent was plated with something. It has that look of having been coated. The details get fuzzy and more "rounded" when a layer of plating is applied. It's still difficult to say just what it was plated with based upon the picture. Report this Post to the Staff
