(I don't think the hubby would smile at me... you know a nickle is a nickle!) Actually... I kind of would have it thought more... I mean a 652 years old and so perfect!!... and a sheep to boot... that has to add to the value right? Nancy! Thanks... that's so awesome! I've been watching ebay for aussie sheep coins since posting this and there haven't been any! Interestingly I just did research on sheep breeds for a 4-H youth sheep program I have started... Mouflon is the oldest recorded breed of sheep in the world... researchers believe that they are the actual acestor breed that all domestic sheep have been derived from! There are 2 different Mouflon, the Asiatic Mouflon which would include the ones in Cyprus and the European Mouflon. They have found evidence of these sheep being used domestically over 6000 years ago! A little sheep history... Report this Post to the Staff

I didn't know that those Mouflons have a history 6000 years old. :) And as a token of appreciation, here's another image of a sheep coin. They literally fed and clothed people... t360... I think my dream would be to have one of those gold coins... they are all quite beautiful! Interestingly those that you showed would represent the Lamb of God... not just a run of the mill sheep... NancyC... ooooo boy...
