My boxes are awful these days. I am working about 3 to 4 a week. I stopped by a bank on Sat and they had $800 worth. No silver. They are always surprised when I say I will take it all.

Obla...what bank are you using? Congrats on that lode!

Although a lot of people potentially are dumping half dollars right now, I am curious how long until they get shipped off from the branch. A few rolls could be months before the bank ships them off. Retail, however, I think they do deposits every day (armored car pickup).

My first $89.50 gave me 2x 1968 D, a 2003 D and a 2006 D. After going to practicaly every bank in the town, I found one actually uses half dollars, so they always have rolls. I also found 2 Ikes (1972 and 1972 D).

Found this interesting coin. Anyone seen something similar? It appears to be an imitation of a wooden nickel.

Also hoping to get some boxes thursday. I was able to order a bunch after a pretty fruitless week of searching for any coins. I tried 3 boxes of quarters to slake my jones but was skunked!

Be safe

Went to cash in my bags of coin today, and I saw in the tellers tray a bunch of silver dimes and quarters. When the teller came back with my total, I asked if I could purchase the coins in his tray, he chuckled and replied "I'm holding onto those, sorry". It figures the one time I spot some silvers in their tray I get a disappointing answer.
