Not surprising that it sold for more, if it was considered in isolation by the buyer; it is a desirable coin. Nevertheless, in an absolute sense, I thought the price paid was high.

Have a look at VCOINS for comparison.

Thanks sel I have already had a look at Vcoins and some of the prices particularly on the Philip II Staters are just absurd
