Does it really take this long to find new Australian coins in circulation?!
It certainly does! I doubt that I'll find any more 2015 coins now until next year.

The British Public was in a situation for a short period when next years issues were actujally in circulation, ahead of the date on the coin.
That happened in 1970, when Great Britain changed over to Decimal currency, and coins for 1971 were deliberately issued into circulation in early 1970.

Haven't seen any 2016 coins in circulation in Australia yet; haven't got much time to go before "Auld acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind" ! Only a few days to go !

Found the 20 cents and 2 dollar coin today. Still looking for the 10, 50 and dollar coin. Isn't there a commemorative dollar coin and the color 2 dollar coin as well? Makes collecting so much harder...

Up to this point I have seen 5c, 20c, 50c, plain $1, plain $2 and red $2.
I'm still waiting on the 10c (which has been seen in circulation by others), the ANZAC $1 (which may or may not be circulating yet) and the orange $2 (which I don't expect to find).

Have I missed any?

I assume that is the 100 years of ANZAC 2015 $1 coin.
What is the story with them?
The ones that are available on ebay say that they were only available from a pop up RAM shop.
Will they be released into circulation?

Yes that's the one. So far the RAM swap is the only place they've been releases but it's possible they will be a regular circulating coin. I've seen someone say they got one in change but I think it's too early to tell yet.

Seems like the 20c and 50c pieces are pretty common now.

I have found the $2 Aboriginal Elder, $1 MOR and the 50c. Still yet to find the lower denominations. I think this is the first time I haven't been able to complete a set from circulation, in the year of release.

I must admit to being confused by this statement...
5p (1/-) and 10p (2/-) were first issued 1968 - but dated 1968
50p (10/-) first issued 1969 - dated 1969
½p, 1p and 2p were issued in sets from 1968 (dated 1971) but they couldn't be spent until Decimal Day.

Thx for the information.
Good to know that they indeed exist and are being put into circulation.

Redlock, I have put aside $2, $1 and 50c for you, but yet to find any more 20c, 10c and 5c.

Do you only need one of each denom? If yes, I have spares. I will have some 2015 ANZAC dollars soon too, so can send them all over together.

Thanks Nancy, if you have one of each of the lower denominations and a couple of the 2015 ANZAC $1, that would be great.

Cheers
