I once found one in Good condition where most of the doubling was flat so it put it back in the dealers stock and told him what I did. He took it out and sold it for $25. I felt like a fool! Also, I knew a dealer that took very worn regular 1917 cents and sold them as the doubled die. He said he never got a return! Sad! Report this Post to the Staff

CoinMasters Pillar of the Community United States 5964 Posts	Posted 06/03/2015 8:18 pm The fist dealer you mentioned was a lot smarter than the second.The bag I got was one pound, there was only one 1917 in it. It wasn't a DD, but if it were that easy, it wouldn't be as good. I did get the 47-S and the 56 I recently posted though. I also picked a 1941 that I'm going to post shortly; it's not as nice as the other two, but certainy different. Report this Post to the Staff
