But Mint just announced them, is it possible that they (these coins) already at the banks?

Which banks are they being distributed by?
I saw an advert for the ones direct from the mint in the Globe and Mail yesterday - so if the advertising is already published, you can be assured that they are in circulation.
Weird that members of the mint essentially had no lead on this issue what so ever!

If I had not seen this thread, I would not have known about them. Ordered one, thank you!

why to buy entire rolls of these? Aren't they circulation coins that could be spent exactly for face value?

Quote: why to buy entire rolls of these? Many reasons: You can pick the best coins to keep for your collection and spend the rest. Some people like to collect entire rolls. Or you can try sell them for a profit like this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Two-Canada-2...em3aabc3da6e

Thanks, McNickel
I thought that people use to get the "old" rolls, and do not search for the fresh ones.

Are these mint rolled coins in a cellophane type wrap or the paper ones?

The new quarters look great! I enjoy almost all of the RCM circulated products, it's just too bad that they are hard to get here in the states. If the darn cost of driving back and forth over the bridge wasn't so high I'd visit at least twice a month to do some banking there.

Quote: Looks like RCM strikes directly the re-sellers....already several times in row, the mint allows to every household to have opportunity to buy its limited edition coins. RCM is a Crown For-Profit Corporation.........every household should rightly have the opportunity to buy directly from them. But perhaps your comment above is written in jest. If not, that "re-sellers" might believe that RCM holds any sort of responsibility toward what gets sold on secondary markets, specifically by private re-sellers who flip RCM products without remitting sales tax or paying income tax on gains ......all I can say is "oh sure".

Yes, I spoke not about the dealers, but private re-sellers. These Mint cards are really common object for speculation. Till now never have been sold by RCM, but distributed in limited quantities or sold for small fee by dealers, while private re-sellers tried to get "as many as possible to carry" and resell them.
