Nice coins. That 1920 LWC is nice. In 1920 the Philly mint installed new electric furnaces for their bronze coinage, and they also bought a large number of prepared planchets from an outside contractor. That dark strip is probably from a section of material that is an alloy of copper and tin, which cools at a different rate than bronze, brass( or any of the many brass alloys possible), or pure copper. I have a few woodies that have, what look like, pure tin inclusions.

That's quite a coin! I know I said I would post all those woodies I got, but it took forever just to photograph the first few so when I have time, I'll probably just pick a few of the nicest ones.

Wow mama. That 15 is killer. And what a strike! I'd get that boy slabbed if it were mine. Wait till BadThad sees it The 09 is cool too but I can almost pluck lincolns wiskers with a pair of tweezers on that 15! It almost looks fake. Killer!

Thanks, folks. The foreign coins were all plucked from bins and bags. Except for the Canadian cent above, my husband bought that for me as a surprise for a couple of bucks on ebay. Now, time for some centavos mexicanos.. 1946 10 Centavos: 1943 20 Centavos:
