I hope this coin is worthy of reviving this thread. I have other woodgrain examples, but I thought that I just
have to post this particular one.

Hungary, 2 filler, 1898.
For some reason, those small Hungarian denominations from the late 19th and early 20th century are relatively common, and surprisingly cheap, even in higher grades.
Which is really nice, because, IMHO, it's one of the most beautiful coin designs ever made.
They also occasionally come with pretty woodgrain toning... this one shows it off particularly nicely.
