Picked up a 71-S brown Ike and a 72-S brown Ike for $9 total at a tiny, remote Florida coin store last week. Change back from my $10 dollar bill was descent 1972 Ike. It took an hour or so to complete the sale but it was well worth the time.

Stopped at 2 banks today looking for halves. The first bank I stopped in last week asking for halves and dollar coins. The teller remembered me and pulled out my first Ike dollar for me! Stopped at one more bank and a teller had 11 in the vault. (5) 1971 (1) 1974 (6) 1976 - including one Type 1 large letters (in great shape), the rest Type 2. Pretty pumped overall.

I just recently received $58 in Ikes from a local bank and one was a 1971-D Friendly Eagle Variety. It was worn and corroded, unfortunately. None of the 1972 P were the elusive type 2.

Always fun to just find some Ikes to look through.

jbuck is going to be both jealous and hate me. Just picked up 80 Ikes from a bank I hit up while visiting my parents. Going to spend them back into circulation - nothing remarkable among them except two that seem to have been gold plated for some reason.

Let me breath some new life into it. I have been doing Ike's for about 6 months now and finally got cutoff today:(. I do want to memorialize my funds here for future generations to see lol. Notable finds include: - 1927 D Peace dollar (2 actually) - 1910 5 Bolivars from Venezuela - 1883 O Morgan dollar (high AU) - 1900 Morgan dollar (High AU) - a few Peace dollars in high AU And finally the crown jewel - a 1897 O Morgan dollar In AU to MS in my first bag:). *needs dancing fruit ASAP!*

Nice finds!! How many bags of Ike's did you get total? I would love to find another bank that can get me more bags but I haven't had any luck.

Over the course of 6 months I got maybe about 50 or so. I think a huge problem is once the Fed runs out in your local area, banks are usually unwilling to ask the fed to order more from a different branch. I got lucky and have known these people for many years now and they know since I am a kid lol, they were willing to help me out.
