Here's what I believe to be an issue of the Mauryan Empire, which dominated the Indian subcontinent from 321 to 185 BCE. I'd be happy to hear what anybody more knowledgeable about these could add as regards this example.

About 11.4 by 12.2 mm, with the weight coming in at 3.35 grams. Evidently silver in composition, fineness unknown.
