This coin has a drilled out eyeball. I don't know who did it or why. I call it my blind nickel 3 cent piece. A coin show dealer gave it to me in the early 1970s back when I was in high school. I decided to let someone else adopt it for awhile, so I just now gave it away to a young forum member as a Christmas present. It's in the mail as I type this. I will sort of miss the old girl. I encourage others to "pay it forward" by occasionally giving away a coin or two.

Quote: Batboy, what's going on with the O in OF? I just always thought it was dirt or crud, but when I zoomed in on the photo it looks like a tiny cut. Not sure what's up. We'll have to get the new owner to examine it more closely than I did.
