'Twas a day for keys and semi-keys as I added a LWC 1909-S VDB and a 1912-D. Just need a 1914-D and some more upgrades!

Does yesterday count?

I won an auction for some not so pretty - but pretty cheap, early date, San Fran minted wheats.

1910, 11, 12, 13x2 and 14 "S" for...Not a lot.

I picked up 3 US proof Sets that were the 1960, 1962, and 1963 last night on ebay. I'm putting together a set of these from 1950 to 1964. I'm in no rush to complete the set so I will add the others slowly. I already have the 1954, 1959, and the 1961.

I've been trying to fill some holes in my circulated Lincoln Cent album this year. Just picked up a 1909-S (F to VF). Yes, I still need a 1909-S VDB. Not sure if I'll ever find one of those babies I can afford though. Side note, I started collecting Lincolns nearly 50 years ago when I was a kid. Initially, they rattled around in an old Band-Aid tin can that I kept stashed in the back of my sock drawer. Then, I used Whitman folders during my days as a paperboy. Finally, I upgraded to a Dansco album in the mid 1980s.

Got three beautiful Bombay Hook Quarters (P Mint) in change at the local Goodwill store, gave the clerk a dollar bill in exchange for four more. They get fresh rolls from the bank across the parking lot, as do a couple other stores in this little strip mall.

Very nice!

Not often you see those handed out in change. Was it by chance or did you notice and ask for it?

Wow... a NIFC dollar handed out in change. Nice!

I have gotten one or two from the bank when I ask for them.
